The 3rd Bluebird Chinese Carnival is this weekend!
Remember last year’s carnival?

This year we will focus more on the experience of Chinese culture!
We have invited 8 children to serve as Chinese cultural messengers of Bluebird Chinese in this event.

Sugar painting experience
Sugar painting, as the name suggests, is a painting made of sugar, which is both appreciable and edible. Folk are commonly known as “pouring sugar people”, “pouring sugar cakes” or “sugar lamp shadows”. This craft, which has local characteristics of Sichuan, has a history of more than 400 years. In 2008, it was included in the list of China’s national intangible cultural heritage.
At the fair, children can not only see this precious skill and work, but also experience the magical production process themselves.

Printmaking experience
Printmaking is a printing method originated in China, and because of its reproducible characteristics, it was used to print illustrations, New Year paintings, notes, and painting scores in ancient times, which played a very important role in image dissemination. The finished product of printing can maintain the style of the original work to achieve the effect of chaos, and is known as “the art of re-creation”.
The printmaking teacher carefully carved Christmas-related prints for us, and invited the children to experience the printing process on the spot.

Guqin experience
Guqin originated in China, formerly known as qin, also known as yaoqin, yuqin, five-stringed qin and seven-stringed qin, is the most noble musical instrument in ancient Chinese culture, with a history of more than 3,000 years. The guqin has a wide range, a deep timbre, and a long aftersound. Since ancient times, “qin” has been its special reference, and since the twenties of the nineteenth century, it has been renamed “guqin” in order to distinguish it from the piano.
During the garden tour, everyone has the opportunity to experience this ancient musical instrument.
In addition, we also arranged a variety of experience activities such as paper-cutting experience, Fu character writing experience, traditional Chinese building construction experience, robot programming experience, etc. All friends are welcome to join us!
