Did you know? There is a “secret entrance” to the Moominvalley in a corner of Helsinki! Last Sunday, the first theme camp of the Bluebird Talent Camp: Discover Finland Series – “Finding Moomin Fairy Tales Camp” officially opened. Ten little explorers transformed into “Moomin Detectives” and spent a day entering the art world of Tove Jansson, challenging themselves to independently purchase lunch and create a new Moomin story… Come and see their wonderful journey together!

【Opening the camp and breaking the ice: the transformation from stranger to “Phoenix”】
“What does bubble gum stick to?” “Eggs turn into phoenixes!” – In the joyful ice-breaking game, the children quickly broke the barriers. Amidst the laughter, they discovered that their friends may love the brave elf in the Moomin story just as much as they do!

【Art Adventure: Finding the “Hidden Moomins” in the Art Museum】
Walking to the Helsinki Art Museum, the children went straight to Tove Jansson’s “Paradise” special exhibition. Here, they not only saw the birth story of the original Moomin works, but also became “detectives” and searched for hidden Moomin images in the corners of Jansson’s other works! “It turns out that Moomintram (Jansson) would hide little Easter eggs in the paintings!” – The children excitedly shared their discoveries.

【Independent Challenge: The 5 Euro Lunch Challenge! 】
It’s lunch time! But today’s rules are very special: 1️⃣ First learn the food pyramid and understand the secret of healthy eating; 2️⃣ Each person has a budget of 5 euros and goes to the supermarket to buy lunch independently! From indecision to careful calculation, some children chose bread with fruit, some directly chose sandwiches, and some used the remaining coins to buy fruit… “It turns out that you have to use your brain to spend money!” On the way back, the children also tried to buy bus tickets by themselves.
It was the first time to learn how to weigh fruit in the supermarket, the first time to arrange lunch by yourself, and the first time to experience buying bus tickets. The children experienced many firsts on the road to independent growth!

【Creativity Storm: Moomin Drama Workshop】
The drama workshop in the afternoon brought the event to a climax! During the morning exhibition, the children took photos of Moomin characters with their mobile phones, printed, cut, and colored them, and made them into exclusive props. They also adapted new stories with their imaginations: “Stink’s Plan” and “Two Naughty Kids“… During the impromptu performances, even the teacher exclaimed: “The children’s imagination is bolder than Jansson’s!”

【Camp Closing Moment: Laughter and Growth】
When the camp was about to end, the children were still unsatisfied—on this day, they not only walked into a fairy tale, but also gained independence, artistic perception, and a group of like-minded friends.
【Next stop preview】The second phase of the Finland series camp will start immediately!
